Description

I welcome you to the park of my château. This unusual place promises calm and relaxation.
The park is maintained without chemical treatment. Please read the following instructions, which are important for our small community. Please note that from September 30 each year, as indicated, the property is closed. Do not rely on automatic reservations after this date.

The setting

It's a large park with lots of secrets and hidden places to discover during your stay...
Nearby you'll find a bakery, a small supermarket and good restaurants.
Closed from 01/10 to 15/04 every year.

The spots

There are several places to set up camp, so it's up to you to decide which one you prefer. Unfortunately, it's not allowed to camp under the old oak trees, as they can lose a branch. They do, however, provide shade.

The sanitary facilities

The sanitary facilities (showers, washbasins, hot-cold water, toilets) are housed in independent buildings, but surrounded by gîtes, whose tranquillity must be preserved. They must be used as quietly as possible after 10 pm.

The amenities

Electricity is available inside the buildings for recharging your electronic devices or household appliances; please bring your doublets and a small extension cord.
Please note, however, that there is no electricity on the outdoor camping sites. For obvious safety reasons, it's not possible to run an extension cord across the grass.
Internet reception is excellent around the château.
There are garden lounges all over the park, but you can't move them for strictly personal use - they have to stay put.
There's a lovely kitchen under the orangery, which you can use in the peace and quiet when there are gîtes around.

Other things

It's not a place where you can party in groups - I prefer lovers or quiet families. - No exceptions: if you want to party, you'll have to go deep into the pastures with the deer.

Rules

You'll have to respect nature and above all not be noisy, so that everyone can listen to the little birds singing...
Remarks drawn from some rather harsh experiences:
I'm very fond of children, but if you have a baby I'll give you a pitch a little apart and ask you to feed it in the morning on YOUR pitch and not near the common areas so as not to wake up the surrounding guests, who are never happy to hear screams, especially early in the morning. Mummies and Daddies are kindly requested to come and warm up their bottles, leaving their little ones with Mummies and Daddies until they have had their fill and have calmed down.
Your pets must be kept on a leash, as mine is too. They can take turns being unhitched. It's inconceivable for me to have to tie up my sweet dog all day long, while the others shamelessly wander about.

  • Very pleasant location, kitchen and fridge on site.
The washrooms are spacious, well-designed and clean.
    The place is very pretty.

  • A moment of sharing to be seized with pleasure

  • Thank you Christine for this wonderful first experience for us. And congratulations on this wonderful place ????

  • Huge garden where you can park your campervan wherever you want. Great place and very quite. Warm welcome by Christine via Homecamper chat and later via mobile and of course live. Also her husband is very open minded and ready to help you or give you all advice you need.
There are toilets and showers available for guests. But bear in mind there is no electricity for campers. We didn’t need it because we have solar panels.
What to do: take your bike and go biking direction the Loire. You can perfectly visit Montsoreau, Candes Saint-Martin and Saumur in one day by bike. If you bike from Montsoreau to Saumur by bike go through the winefields. This is really wonderful biking route.
If you have time you can also visit Tours from but then of course you havevto take your car (camper).
We combined Tours and Chinon in one day. Chinon is really worthwhile the visit. Great old city. Tours also had a lot to offer.
Would i recommend Christine’s place: more then yes! Great location to stay a couple of days.

  • A nice place, a nice hostess. Good sanitary facilities.

  • For our first experience, we're delighted to have chosen this stopover in the grounds of a beautiful mansion.
Calm and spacious, quality sanitary facilities, flat terrain. No electric hook-up, but we knew that in advance.
Note the very good sms/mobile communication with Christine, but the welcome was a little quick.
A very good memory all the same.

  • Super stay, very beautiful setting, access to superb sanitary facilities but no long connection for the motor home, I still recommend this beautiful castle with a very nice lady!

  • We had a fantastic stay with Christine and her family. The pitch in front of the castle is unique, Christine a very warm hostess. The sanitary facilities were always super clean and we can highly recommend the place.

  • Christine was very helpful from the start, she let us use the washing machine and even a small refrigerator. The place gorgeous, quiet and peace everywhere! Separate bathrooms and showers, very clean and spacious.
    Definitely recommended!

  • Christine is very friendly, the castle is very beautiful, calm and welcoming, the sanitary facilities are clean and functional. We are just a little bit lost at the arrival if we don't have the code, and that the phone doesn't answer.

  • Very good reception, beautiful setting, quiet and pleasant place for one night or more!

  • Thanks to you, we had a great stay. Sanitary facilities very clean and garden maintained, perfect for quiet camping on flat land.

  • Great experience! We were able to put our van with tent on the roof at the foot of the castle in a shady area. We had the chance to install ourselves under the Barnum on a rainy afternoon. The toilets and showers are great ! Christine is very nice and welcoming and she advised us to go to the abbey of fontevreau which was very nice ! Thank you Christine for this stay and our discussions ... You made us travel. Good continuation. Baptiste Myriam and the children

  • super friendly people
    Toilets and showers clean

  • Unfortunately, we could not stand at Christine with our camper. Despite previous communication that we need electricity, we got no concrete answer that the place has no possibility for power supply. In the description is something about an extension cord, that could not be clarified in communication with Christine unfortunately. Perhaps it was also due to language barriers.
To cleanliness and equipment we can not make a statement, because we have not used the place.

  • A superb place, very warm and attentive hosts. What more can we say. We will come back.

  • We had a nice stay at Christine.
You could walk in the garden and enjoy the beautiful trees.

  • A beautiful night spent in the park, under the giant sequoia, a remarkable tree!
Sanitary facilities in a separate building, impeccable. Peaceful place, ideal for the visit of the abbey of fontevraud!

  • The best welcome and attention.

  • Great stay in homecamping. Very nice place. Well located, near Saumur. Christine and all the people I met in this place were very nice. I would go back with great pleasure.

  • We had a calm and peaceful night at Christine's. Beautiful site
and very clean bathrooms. Christine is very lovely and helpful! Thanks for the pasta, you saved our evening :) !

  • Very good welcome from the mistress of this magnificent place.
Calm, raised, with the impeccable medical ones.
    To advise.

  • Great stay in a great setting! Marie Christine was very welcoming and knew how to adapt to the unexpected changes of our stay. If we have the opportunity we will come back.

  • We loved spending two nights in this chateau. The garden and the space is great and has all the amenities. A 10 for this gamping!

  • Great place, where to camp. Christine is a nice host.

  • Incredibly bad !!!! 9 years of concubinage to celebrate with my beautiful ..... Complement to spoil greasy to Christine of the castle of the pavement.... Unable to assume its decisions and very easy to return its responsibilities on its customer...
I gave all the stars because they just threatened me with a lawyer with 28 years of experience if I gave a bad advice....
    It's not a good life...
I forgot, the place is wrong on the map... North east of Saumur instead of west...

  • Christine is very welcoming. The park is beautiful. The toilets and showers are clean and independent. A first experience that was very conclusive and a memorable stay thanks to Christine who is a very nice person. Pascale, Angèle and Morgan.

  • Pleasant setting, friendly welcome, ideal geographical location, the amenities are a real "plus". We recommend it.

  • A perfect first experience on the campsite! Our hosts welcomed us very warmly, in their magnificent castle of La Chaussée. We were able to enjoy the park (the children were delighted), and the art gallery. We also recommend the breakfasts!

  • Very good reception of Christine, magnificent park, we shall return.

  • A very beautiful, flowery and vast setting. Toilets and a shower independent, very practical. A copious breakfast in a very pretty setting. An owner all in imagination making this stay memorable. A big thank you !

  • Christine was very friendly and provided great facilities. Christine made extra effort to make me feel welcome and comfortable. A great place to stay on my journey - thanks so much!

Christine était très amicale et elle prévoit les facilités tres bien. Christine a fais d'éffort additional pour m'accuiellir et me faire sentir confortable. Un endroit super a rester pendant mon voyage - merci beaucoup!

  • Very good welcome from Christine. Very beautiful castle and spacious park. We had a good time, and the breakfasts are copious.

  • Pleasant stay, welcoming and friendly host!

  • What a welcome! Christine opened the door of her castle to us with all her kindness, her benevolence and her sensitivity.
    Thank you Christine!

  • A very friendly welcome, a really nice domain and a huge park with the choice of the location!
We only spent one night, but we would have liked to spend more time there!

  • Nice place to gamp on the road to the Loire. Christine welcomed me well and proposed several sites around the castle. The gamper has at his disposal a nice private space with fridge, shower, washing machine. See you next time!

  • Very nice site, a Gamping without fuss. Good welcome from Christine who offered us several pitches.

  • Smiling welcome, no fuss, nice place and a practical bathroom and fridge corner with children.

  • A really perfect place!
Christine welcomed us very well, proposed us several places to settle down, lent us her deckchairs...
    A great place !

  • perfect!
